With more than 24 years in operation, the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) is a non-profit entity created to disseminate and support the technical and institutional development of the franchise business model. The entity, which currently has 915 member associates, gathers all parts involved in the system – franchisors, franchisees, consultants and service providers – in order to assure and disseminate good franchise practices in Brazil.
ABF it also acts strong in set with the Brazilian Government, where aims to the strengthening and carrying out a national policy for the segment – an important source of new jobs, revenue distribution and foreign currency for Brazil.
Brazil is one of the new countries with a specific franchise law, which has ruled the relationship between franchisees and franchisors for over 17 years, establishing transparency rules for business offers.
