REPORT OF THE ABF GROUP PARTICIPATION IN THE 53th EDITION OF IFA’S ANNUAL CONVENTION 2013
The ABF took a group of 20 executives to the 53rd IFA Annual Convention, among them were representatives from: Global Franchise, Água Doce Cachaçaria, Portobello Shop, Grupo Multi, Megamatte, Danemman e Baril Advogados Associados.
On the 16th, the delegation was received by the President of IFA (International Franchise Association), Steve Caldeira, who participated as a speaker at the Brazilian Day and marked the beginning of the activities of the delegation in the North American territory.

102nd EDITION OF NRF BIG SHOW 2013 - NEW YORK – USA
ABF – Brazilian Franchising Association, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, led the second consecutive time a group of 35 entrepreneurs for the franchising sector to participate in the 102nd edition of the NRF Retail's Big Show, held in New York from 13 to 16 January, 2013. With parallel agenda, the Brazilian mission developed activities in the period from 11 to 19 January. One of the members of the Brazilian delegation was the manager of Apex-Brasil Bruno Amado, who is responsible for the franchise design and followed the development of the group's activities.

The ABF takes the "FRANCHISING BRAZIL" for Arab Emirates And Cannes
The ABF, in partnership with Apex-Brazil under the project of expanding franchises, developed a prospecting mission in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the period of 9-12 of November. The purpose of this action was to identify business opportunities for Brazilian franchises from technical visits and meetings with operators of shopping centers.
Dubai has consolidated itself as an important oil producing country and is now seeking a new vocation due to the depletion of its reserves. It has a population of about 5 million people, with 3.5 million citizens being of different nationalities who immigrated in search of employment and a better quality of life, attracted mainly by opportunities in construction and services.

Buybrand Expo 2012
ABF and a group of Brazilian entrepreneurs participated in the 10th edition of Buybrand Expo, the main franchising fair in Russia, held in Moscow on October 9th, 10th and 11th. This was the first time that Brazil was represented with a pavilion at this event which occurred through the project for exporting franchises conducted with Apex-Brazil.
In addition to ABF representatives, executives of Grupo Multi, Trópico, Emagrecentro, Carmen Steffens, Lamonica Publisher and ABF RJ also participated. The fair received approximately 7 thousand visitors, who had 217 franchise concepts available, mostly related to fashion and food. According to event organizers, 52% of visitors were from Moscow and surrounding areas, 42% from other regions of Russia and 6% were foreigners....
